ALTAI™ Testimonials: Two for One, One Boot For It All

Today we have not one, but two, reviews of our boots that knocked our socks off. We can’t make this stuff up folks, so here it is; feedback on our boots’ performance, straight from the horses’ mouths.

Vincent Harper, Owner/CEO of Triggersafe™

Initial Impression:

I wanted to reach out and let you know that I received the boots a little over a week ago. Today is the first day of wearing them. First impression out of the box is that the boots are well constructed and light weight. The color is good as well. Today is a fairly wet and nasty day out so I will be putting them to the test right away. I will update you once I’ve worn a bit.

2-Month Update:

So far the boots are doing great. I have been wearing them exclusively every day at work. I have had several comments and compliments on them at the range from other instructors. They still look good too. I believe several of the instructors will be ordering some soon. I will send you another update in another month or so.

I spend a lot of time on my feet and I wear through boots quickly. Comfort is a top priority, because of plantar fasciitis and a bad back. I would buy a pair of inexpensive and uncomfortable boots and wear through them in as little as three months.

I was sick of coming home and not being able to comfortably walk because my feet hurt so bad. The quest for a better pair of boots was on.

I stumbled across a YouTube video for ALTAI™ Boots, and was immediately intrigued. Boots that are durable, lightweight, waterproof and (bonus) good looking. I got in contact with this company (amazing, over-the-top customer service) and ordered my first pair.

Never before have I had a pair of boots that when I put them on, they felt broken in and immediately comfortable.

In the year since I purchased, they have earned the nickname of my Miracle Boots. My feet have never been more comfortable and dry in my life. Not only that but my back hurts less and I find that I am more active. I highly recommend to anyone who spends any amount of time on their feet to purchase a pair of these amazing boots.

The ALTAI™ Experience: In Real Life

Any boot company can tell you they have the best boots. But here at ALTAI™, we believe in the importance of reviews; reviews are proof of our boots’ performance. Feedback and input from wearers of our boots are how we can continue to strive to bring you the perfect, multi-purpose, rugged boot. Recently, we received this personal account of our MFT100s; so you can see the proof for yourself.

A big ‘Thank You’ to Dylan Sauer for sharing his ALTAI™ experience.

Many ALTAI™ customers are ecstatic about the boots they have, including myself. I have worn these boots for my security job, doing work for Bay City Public Safety’s Reserve Unit, and for playing intense scenario paintball in the woods. I was initially only going to use the pair for police work and security, but I decided to try them out on a paintball field. I did receive a few paintball splats to my feet, but the paint and mud come off very easily with a wet rag.

Back in January, there was a charity auction for a famous paintball player, Chris Lasoya. Chris was a firefighter who was burned trying to put out a fire. With the medical expenses being so high due the amount of burns he received form the fire, medical expenses would be astronomical. Another fellow paintballer, and ALTAI™ sponsored athlete, David “Reaper” Justin, knew it was time to step in and help out a fellow paintball player. David put together a charity auction and I was added to the group auction on Facebook. After a short bidding war, I won the pair of MFT100s.

After having these boots for nearly 7 months, I would consider these boots to be the best I have ever worn. I’ve gone through many pairs of boots throughout my time and none has lasted as long as my pair of MFT100s. My legs will give out before my feet decide to blister or cramp up. I’ve crawled through swamps and waded through water with these boots on and they have never smelled “swampy” afterwards. On top of all that, I have also been working around forty hour work weeks with these boots on.

I have also worked plenty of police details in Bay City, including concerts in Wenona Park for concerts, Southend Little League for their National Night out, and Veterans Park for the Bay City Fireworks Festival. ALTAI™ boots support me while I am supporting my community.

ALTAI™ Pro Tip: How To Choose the Right Combat Boot

How to choose the right combat boot: the choices seem endless. There are a number of factors when considering the right combat boot for your needs. Here we address environmental obstacles we keep in mind when designing every pair of ALTAI™ boot. No matter the brand of boot you choose, here are some challenges to consider when choosing your next pair of combat boots and keep you performing at your best.

Jungle Environments:

Seek out truly WATERPROOF boots. While a wide variety of types of jungles exist, one thing they all pose as a challenge for troops on foot is water or moisture. Whether it be thick, heavy mud or hours on end ankle deep in water, the right combat boot has features to help avoid these exhausting obstacles. You can see for yourself how compelling completely waterproof boots can be a big step up by watching our boots in action.

Desert Environments:

Consider BREATHABILITY. It is clear that in desert environments, soldiers are feeling the heat; and not just from combat. Extreme temperatures have posed challenges in places like Iraq and Afghanistan so it is crucial that the right combat boot for desert environments offers a “cool” solution in footwear.

Cold Environments:

WATERPROOF combined with BREATHABILTY mean less heaviness or thickness to keep warm. Since feet naturally produce moisture, cold environments can be trickier than just throwing on an extra pair of socks. Wet, moist feet are nearly impossible to keep warm; they must be dry to avoid losing heat quickly. For this kind of environment, breathability and waterproofness are a key combination of features that help prevent unnecessary loss of heat due to dampness.

Tactical Boots: A Step Above The Rest

In a sea of footwear for rugged activities, you may find yourself wondering, “Who wears tactical boots and why?” Well it turns out, there are a wide variety of professionals from hunters to law enforcement professionals who greatly benefit from tactical boots over any other style of footwear.

Law enforcement officers were the original inspiration for our first style of tactical boot. Police officers wear tactical boots to give them an edge on performance when on the job. Between long patrols to sudden long-pursuit chases, officers need the perfect balance between lightweight and durable. Heavy duty boots tire a body that stays active while working and a lightweight sneaker won’t make the cut with the kind of action these professionals see day to day. See what this officer thought of our boots for the job.

Other professionals like EMTs, paramedics, and similar first responders wear tactical boots with side zippers for quick gearing up in the event of a call or emergency. Every second counts when these heroes are on the job.

Tactical boots can also be used for recreational activities like hiking, hunting, paintballing. If you can think of a way to toil on your feet all day on a job that requires quick reflexes, then tactical boots are a great fit for your feet. With all these needs in mind, we build our tactical boots to exceed the standards of their users. Check out our full range of boots at our store today.

ALTAI™ ‘Good Deeds’ Update: It Ain’t All Paintball

Leo McSherry and Ryan Begin of the ALTAI™ boots team give their personal account of last month’s charity event with Dead Squad Paintball team, Challenge for Children’s, that we covered earlier. We at ALTAI™ strongly believe in supporting worthy causes and the boot guys would like to share how important this specific cause is to us.

A younger me would have been more excited about the dusty dirt road we drove down as we made our way to the 2017 Challenge for Children’s paintball event. A younger me drove an older car, though, and as much as I hate to admit it, a life in the suburbs has its benefits- one of which being much less gravel in my travel.

But today wasn’t about me and my fixation with maintaining a clean car. It wasn’t about getting out and showing support for the Dead Squad paintball team, a group of upstanding athletes and advocates of the ALTAI™ brand since day one, either. Today was about Challenge for Children’s, and it was not until reflecting on the day that paintball proved as a perfect pairing for passions that pull people together.

When Ryan and I arrived, an event coordinator had already begun reviewing rules surrounding the day’s game. Professional players, groups of friends, father/son combos, couples young and old, and lone wolfs all listened on, preparing for deployment in a manner I imagined mirrored a SWAT team readying for raid. I even saw my neighbor, a full-time mom managing a full-time career, who still finds time to support a great cause. And if I know anything about moms, she was going to be a formidable force for any unfortunate foe.

It was not long before we found ourselves talking to a young man who had traveled all the way from Chicago to participate in the day’s event. Conversation revealed that for him, Challenge for Children’s strikes very close to home. He had been diagnosed at childhood with a condition resulting from his brain growth exceeding the safe capacity of his skull. Children’s doctors, like the ones supported by the efforts of Challenge for Children’s,  were able to perform vital surgery that ultimately enabled him the opportunity to continue living an active life. As an expression of his gratitude, he now dedicates his time mentoring a young boy being treated for the same condition.

Ryan and I were so taken by the atmosphere of the event that we almost missed our planned morning meeting with the Dead Squad team, but we were glad we didn’t.  The entire Dead Squad team dedicated their day sublimating time on the field to provide ALTAI™ insight about the history of Challenge for Children’s, explain all the different types of paintball and the strategy surrounding, and even involve Ryan and his camera in some first-hand action.  All I will say is the camera’s okay. As for Ryan, bruises go away.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Challenge for Children’s and all the volunteers/participants who contributed to another successful event.
