Great pair of boots!
Got these a bit over two months ago, so I figure it’s been a long enough timespan to give a review. I picked these up mainly as a hiking/outdoor boot due to their breathability and lightweight protection. They do breathe well, and are not too hot when pulling an all day hike in the eighties. The Superfabric contends well with sharp rocks, scree, thick underbrush, etc… things that would shred most hikers on the market don’t even make a visible scratch on these. There’s no shank, so I’d be hesitant to hit the trails with anything more than a twenty or twenty-five pound load out over moderately hilly terrain, but they work great for day hikes and light backpacking. My only caveat is that once the temperature drops into the teens, even with a cold weather sock system, the breathability that you want in the warm weather turns against you. They’re fine for running errands in the cold, but they’re not made to be out in below freezing temps for extended periods of time. Maybe unless you’re running in them (which is plausible given their fit and weight). Waterproof – affirmative. Super comfy, even with the factory insole. No break in time. For a three season hiker, they fit the bill and then some. Now I’ll just have to wait and see about the – dunDunDUN – durability. But, I’ve put them through their paces and there are no current red flags. Anywho…
Highly recommended.

I bought a pair of these 8/27/15 and have worn them all over. I first hiked the White Mountains of New Hampshire with them, and they were so comfortable that they became my daily wear boots. At times when I didn’t need a safety toe, they were my work boots. Whenever it rains, or I go camping or spend any amount of time in the mud, these are still the boots I wear. I have cleaned them up with the same tools I clean dishes with, and for a few years I kept getting them back to looking brand new. I’ve even cleaned them with a pressure washer! Seriously, I took pictures and shared it on Altai’s Facebook page, it’s there.
Stay strong, stay nimble, stay beastly my friends.
